Founded in 1932 by the late Bob Goldman, a civil engineer turned mortgage banker, MRG has been providing capital to the region’s leading developers for the better part of a century.

Originally based in Manhattan, the firm’s patriarch specialized in multi-family transactions during New York City’s population growth during the early and mid-20th century. In the early 1950’s Bob son Howard joined the firm and the office was relocated to Brooklyn where much of the firm’s business was being transacted. Bob’s son Kenneth entered the business in the early 1960’s; in 1970 the firm moved back to Manhattan. By the 1980’s Howard entered the development business and Kenneth’s focus was on Long Island, in 1984 the office was relocated to Island where it has remained for over 35 years.

The firm is now lead by Kenneth’s son Jonathan, who joined the Company in 1989 and spearheaded the growth of both the Correspondent network and Servicing Platform.
